contact address

I want an existing contact's billing address to auto populate with their new account's billing address. I'm surprised that this isn't happening automatically and similar questions assume a new contact. In my case, it's not a new contact, it's that the contact is now affiliated with a new account. Please advise

    Hi Emma,

     

    As Ryan suggested you can use Process Builder or a workflow rule to update the address. Something like this should do it:

    If the criteria is met the process will update the record by copying the Mailing Address pieces (street, city, state, zip, country) from the new Account Billing Address pieces.
