Lead - Company Count

I know I am jumping late on this one, but does the power of one work on leads? I am trying to do an analysis of how many companies we got from a tradeshow. We have multiple leads from the same company, so our lead numbers are much higher than actual companies.

I have created the power of one formula field, but it is giving me the same number as the record count.

Any help is much appreciated!!
