Has anyone had any luck with a workaround for Salesforce not having Opportunity Product Record Types? I need to be able to display different fields based on the product. I'm open to both visualforce/apex solutions as well as any AppExchange apps. Thank you for any feedback!
One common way of handling this is with a Custom VF page to replace the 'Add Products' page on the Opp related list. You can display fields as needed for each line item.
