I am new to salesforce and am setting it up. I have set up my price books and products but they don't appear in the opportunities tab. Does anyone know why. The products and price books are all 'active'.

    A couple of things I would check. 

     

    1. Did you add the products related list to the opportunity page layout? It should look something like this:

    2.  Is your Organization Wide Defaults set to use pricebooks?

    3. Do prorfiles have the right access for Products and Pricebooks?

     

    Read access to the pricebook

     

    Read access pricebooks

     

    Check those and let me know if your still having probelms.
