Is it possible to edit the Field-Level Security of a Custom Field which is a Formula?

I have a Custom Opportunity Field  (Sign Up Date) which is a formula based on the Account Field (Created Date) - The Account Field Created Date is coming from the Lead Level (sign up date) which is editable.

 

There are few old Accounts+Opportunities with dates that need to be changed.  I have tried editing the 'Set Field-Level Security' within the custom opportunity field but am unable to uncheck the 'Read Only' box.  

 

Is there a way to make edit this field or does it have to be done at the Lead level?

    You cannot edit a Created Date Field or a Formula field, they are always read only.  you will have to edit the Lead field that is editable.  However, that wont change the Account CreatedDate if you are tal,ing about the system field and not a custom field.  

     

    Wither way, you cannot edit formula field or system fields like CreatedDate, they are always read only.
