Running sales comparison report for last 30, 60, and 90 days

I need a report or dashboard component that will display sales comparison values of our staff over a 30, 60, or 90 day running time period. What is to be seen are sales for the last 30 days this year, versus last year, same time period. We need to see these numbers side by side and show a percentage of the differences between the 2 periods. Would like to see if sales rep is up or down compared to last year.

 

I have started a custom report, but it seems like the direction I am headed is more difficult than it should be, and I am unable to get a percentage to be displayed. I'm not sure if a custom field is needed or not. 

 

Looking for some assistance, any help would be greatly appreciated!
