Default values in fields are not populating

I created a "new section" on the Account object.  All but one field are picklists with default values.  When I create a new record, only the ones on the right have their default value.  Everything elese is blank.  Any thoughts?Default values in fields are not populating

    Nikki, for picklist, you need to go to the record type and select default value there.
