I want to build a responsive data table so, I have found the Responsive Data Table in the lightning design system. This is currently in Prototype: In Progress. I just want to know will there be any issues if I use this in my live project.

No, I'm afraid not. I haven't found any information on what exactly can cause issues when doing something, but it will usually tell you if you need to do it in a separate playground!
