@Damien Joly On objects other than the 'Case' object, we are not able to define an email template to an Action button. While this needs to be resolved to keep the number of clicks down, I am wondering if there is a workaround until then?
Can you advise if we can call the template IDs through the field 'HtmlBody' ?

From what I've seen so far about functionalities for Case, esp around email, are all proprietary and do not stem from cross-object/platform capabilities. That's probably why you're seeing unique options there. For workarounds involving development (which I'm not an expert on), consider reaching out on Developer centric communities.
