I can't create more users in my playground test, and I need it for the challenges in Trailhead. Should I create a new playground for each challenge??

Currently, it would indeed be redundant because Trailhead tasks are designed based on your existing capabilities. Often, when it is necessary to create a new Playground, this is mentioned at the beginning of the task. However, if you've encountered such an issue, it would be better to create a new Playground for your module and work on it.
I can't say that having multiple Playgrounds is a bad thing, but it can be problematic if you attempt to complete all modules on a single Playground. This is because certain modules may involve information that interacts with each other, leading to conflicts.
