The Future of Elevate
This is a difficult message, but we want to let this community know about this decision as soon as it was taken. After careful consideration, we have made the decision to retire the Elevate product. As of today, we are ending new sales for all versions of Elevate, including Elevate Advanced and the Elevate Power of Us Edition. Before mentioning anything else, we want to say “thank you“ to our community of customers, as well as our implementation partners, who have been blazing trails and have made such contributions to the evolution of the product. We are grateful for the support you’ve shown us, and we are sorry to come to you now with this surprising news.
This is the first step in a planning cycle, and we will share more information on timelines as soon as we are able. We have not yet defined end-of-life date/product retirement dates. Our guiding principles for product retirements are to honor the full life of all customer contracts, to continue strong customer support, to ensure that customers are able to migrate onto alternate solutions, and to prevent any data or donation losses for customers.
As part of Salesforce’s annual product review process, we make hard decisions about product investments and prioritize innovation across our portfolio to drive the greatest impact for nonprofit customers. As we evaluated the current and future Elevate roadmap, it became clear that we could not deliver the payments vision that we desired with our available resources. Rather than maintain a product with a limited future innovation envelope, we’ve chosen to wind the product down in a measured fashion and focus on moving customers to partner solutions that we are confident will be well-supported in the future. This allows us to maintain the strongest focus on our nonprofit business, on products with large and growing user bases, like the Nonprofit Cloud and the Nonprofit Success Pack.
We know that this news will be disappointing for some of you, and we want to assure you that we are committed to providing the best possible support during this transition. We are maintaining product support and maintenance features for the remaining life of the product, and we will be providing alternate solution recommendations and opportunities for customers to evaluate and migrate to outside solutions.
Please don’t hesitate to connect with us in this group, or through your account executive or customer support resources, with any questions or comments as we go through this process.
Hi @Ben Rosenthal - Sorry to hear your team is getting caught up in the Elevate product sunset. That is painful news to receive as a customer. We at Chargent are focused 100% on Salesforce payments, supporting one-time and recurring credit/debit card and/or ACH payments/donations. Fun fact, one of our largest segments of customers is Nonprofit Organizations. We are happy to discuss what Chargent can offer and what the transition process looks like. Give me a shout if you'd like to chat! bret@appfrontier.com
