View Conformance Status for Your APIs
Now that you have an active governance profile, you can check how well your APIs conformed to the rulesets you applied. You can see an overview of conformance and drill down to determine exactly which rules an API specification passed or failed in the applied governance rulesets.
Assess Your Overall Conformance
You can use the summary information to quickly assess how well your organization’s APIs conform to the rulesets you’ve applied.
Based on the example flight APIs you added and the profile you created in the previous unit, some conformance information should appear after a couple of minutes. The time it takes depends on network traffic and other factors.
To view your overall API conformance:
- Go to https://anypoint.mulesoft.com/governance/ in the Anypoint Platform account that you created in the first unit, and log in if you aren’t already logged in.
- Click Governance Console.
- View the information in the summary tiles.
The following are the minimum numbers you should see in the summary tiles based on the APIs you started governing in this project.
- In Governance Usage by Profile Type, you should see at least three APIs governed by active profiles.
- In Active Profiles, you should see at least one active profile in At Risk status.
- In Conformance Status, you should see at least two APIs are Conformant and one is Not Conformant.
- In Nonconformance by Severity, you should see at least one in Medium Severity.
View the Validation Report
You can use the information in the comprehensive governance validation report to identify the conformance issues and take the actions needed to fix the API.
To view the validation report for the API that is not conformant:
- Select the Governed APIs tab.
- Select View Report for the Intergalactic Flights API.
- Click View details for the Anypoint Best Practices ruleset.
- Verify that at least one violation appears under Violations.
- Expand the violations section to view the list of rules the API is in violation of.
