Explore the Content Execution Gap
Life sciences organizations invest substantial time and expertise in developing content for healthcare professional (HCP) interactions. Detail aids, clinical reprints, and interactive presentations typically pass through Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review so that product claims, safety information, and supporting evidence align with approved use.
Approval, however, is only one part of the content lifecycle. Itโs also important for the organization to make the relevant version available to the field teams, ensure that required pages are shown during the interaction, and understand how healthcare professionals engage with the material.
When teams distribute presentations through email attachments, shared drives, or other disconnected channels, those controls become difficult to maintain. Sometimes, representatives use an outdated or unapproved version. Administrators have limited control over which territories, accounts, or users receive a presentation. Sometimes, brand and commercial teams know that a visit occurred without knowing which messages were presented, how the representative navigated the deck, or how the healthcare professional responded.
That missing detail weakens the feedback loop between content strategy and field execution. High-level activity measures, such as visit counts, can show that engagement occurred. They donโt reveal which approved messages were used or which presentation content appeared to hold attention.
Intelligent Content provides the governed presentation layer within Agentforce Life Sciences. Administrators bring approved PDF or HTML5 content into Salesforce, and organize it into presentations. They also associate pages with products and guidance messages, control field access, and configure engagement tracking. Representatives then deliver that content through the presentation player, while presentation activity returns to Salesforce for reporting and analysis.
In this badge, you take the administrator role and follow that lifecycle from initial presentation setup through distribution, field delivery, and measurement. First, in this unit, learn where Intelligent Content fits within Agentforce Life Sciences and how its core capabilities support governed content delivery.
Position Intelligent Content in Customer Engagement
Agentforce Life Sciences for Customer Engagement brings account, product, territory, planning, and field activity together on one connected platform. Intelligent Content primarily supports engagement execution by helping representatives deliver approved presentation content during HCP interactions and capture the resulting engagement activity. It also supports engagement planning by helping representatives review available content and recommendations before an interaction.
This architecture graphic shows Intelligent Content within this broader commercial-engagement environment.

Intelligent Content draws on records that the organization already maintains, including products and guidance messages, account relationships, and territory alignments. Administrators use that context to structure approved content, determine where it is available, and associate individual presentation pages with the messages they support.
These configurations carry into engagement execution. During an in-person or remote visit, a representative accesses content available for the interaction and presents it through the interactive player. Intelligent Content records page-level activity, while representatives capture configured feedback. The resulting engagement records support reporting and analysis, helping commercial teams understand how approved content is used in the field.
In this way, Intelligent Content connects three parts of the commercial content lifecycle.
-
Plan and govern: Prepare approved presentations, connect pages with products and messages, and manage access.
-
Deliver: Make relevant content available within the representativeโs visit workflow, online or offline, on supported mobile devices.
-
Measure and refine: Capture presentation activity and return it to Salesforce for reporting, content analysis, and future planning.
Intelligent Content doesnโt create or approve promotional and scientific content. Creative development, assembly, and MLR review happen upstream in a regulated content management or digital asset management system. Intelligent Content takes approved PDF or HTML5 assets and makes them governable, accessible, and measurable within Customer Engagement.
Explore Core Capabilities
Intelligent Content applies the commercial context already maintained in Salesforce to approved presentation content. Product and guidance-message relationships establish what each page communicates. Territory and account structures help determine who can use the presentation and in which interactions. Player and tracking settings govern how the content is delivered and what activity is recorded.
Together, these capabilities carry an approved presentation through its operational lifecycle.
-
Content governance manages approved presentation versions and implements required content, such as safety information and disclaimers.
-
Controlled distribution uses territory, product, and account context to make presentations available to the appropriate field users and interactions.
-
Content discovery helps representatives locate accessible presentations through configured metadata, recommendations, and semantic search.
-
Field delivery supports interactive HTML5 and PDF presentations during in-person and remote engagements, including offline mobile use.
-
Engagement measurement records presentation navigation, page-view duration, and captured feedback as structured engagement data in Salesforce.
These capabilities are interdependent. Structure and govern a presentation before distributing it. Distribution establishes what a representative can access, while targeting, recommendations, and search help bring appropriate content forward for a particular account or conversation. The presentation player then applies the configured delivery rules and records what occurs during the interaction.
That final step supports closed-loop marketing. Instead of treating content distribution as the end of the process, the organization connects field activity with the specific presentation pages, products, and messages involved. Commercial teams then evaluate how approved content is being used and apply those findings to future content planning, recommendations, and field strategy.
Closed-loop marketing gives teams a detailed view of content use than aggregate activity measures alone. For example, which pages representatives presented, how they navigated a deck, and what feedback they recorded during the interaction.
Follow the Administrator Lifecycle
The Intelligent Content area of the Life Sciences Customer Engagement Admin Console is the administratorโs workspace for preparing approved presentations for field use.

Hereโs the presentation administration lifecycle through five connected phases.

These phases help the admin to configure presentations that are accessible, compliant, and connected.
-
Create and manage presentations. Add approved PDF or HTML5 content, organize presentation pages, manage availability, and maintain content versions.
-
Link products and messages. Associate pages with marketable products and approved guidance messages so that field activity retains its commercial context.
-
Control access. Distribute presentations through the territory hierarchy and apply applicable account-level and product-level restrictions.
-
Manage the field experience. Configure how representatives find, review, and present content, including recommendations, player behavior, and mobile controls.
-
Measure field use. Define what presentation activity the system records and use the resulting data in reports and analytics.
Each phase builds on the one before it. Structure a presentation before distributing it, and make it accessible before a representative uses it in an interaction. Tracking then connects that field activity back to the presentation pages, products, and messages configured earlier.
The remaining units follow this progression from presentation setup through field delivery and measurement.
Follow the Configuration in the Field
The structures and rules configured in the Admin Console shape what representatives can access and do during an HCP interaction.
A representative can access presentations from the Content Library, a Visit record, or an Account card. The presentations shown are determined by their availability and access rules, including territory distribution and, when applicable, the selected account context. Account targeting and recommendations can help surface relevant content for the planned interaction, while search helps the representative find available presentations.
From the library or a visit record, the representative launches the Presentation Player and navigates the approved pages during an in-person or remote engagement. The player applies the configured experience, including required-page enforcement, interaction tools, and feedback options. On mobile devices, cached presentation content can also support approved offline use.

As the representative presents, Intelligent Content stores eligible page activity and feedback. That activity remains associated with the presentation context established by the administrator, including the relevant pages, products, and messages. Approved follow-up options can extend the interaction after the visit while preserving content controls and engagement tracking.
Together, these controls make presentation content available to the appropriate field users, govern how it is delivered, and preserve the context needed to measure its use.
Whatโs Next?
In this unit, you explored how Intelligent Content brings approved presentation content into Agentforce Life Sciences. You also followed the administrator lifecycle across its five phases, from setup through field delivery and measurement.
In the next unit, start with the presentation itself. Explore the records that define its structure, upload the approved source files, apply product and message context, and establish the rules that keep required content current and enforceable.
