Optimize Automotive Finance and Channel Revenue

Learning Objectives

After completing this unit, you’ll be able to:

  • Identify agents that support automotive finance processes.
  • Describe the key capabilities of the Asset Finance Management agent for employees and customers.
  • Explain how the Collections and Recovery Assistance agent supports overdue account review, customer outreach, and recovery workflows.
  • Identify how the Channel Revenue Management agent supports rebate review and payout issue resolution.

Manage Finance and Revenue Challenges

Financial operations are the backbone of any automotive company, but they’re often slowed by routine, high-volume work. Captive finance teams spend excessive time on manual processes such as account statement reviews, due date modifications, and payment deferrals. Simultaneously, collections teams struggle to prioritize delinquent accounts and maintain recovery workflows, while channel managers face challenges keeping pace with complex rebate programs and payout calculations.

In this unit, you explore how Automotive Cloud addresses these challenges with agents to optimize automotive finance and revenue.

Automate Requests with Asset Finance Management Agent

The Asset Finance Management agent helps captive finance teams automate high-volume routine requests through a single conversational interface. Finance specialists can review balances, request payoff statements, and manage account changes from one place.

For example, a finance specialist receives a call from a customer struggling to make an upcoming payment. The specialist asks the agent to check the customer’s eligibility for a payment deferral and simulate the new payment schedule. The specialist then asks the agent to apply the deferral, modify the due date, and draft a confirmation for the customer.

Specialized subagents handle each step of the process.

  • Automotive Payment Deferral and Automotive Payment Due Date Modification check eligibility, capture revised terms, and create a case after the customer provides consent.
  • Fee Reversal retrieves relevant fee transactions and creates a reversal case for the selected charge.
  • Funds Transfer and Request Loan Payoff support transfers and payoff-statement requests.
  • Address Update manages changes to the primary or business address on record.
  • Financial Account Balances and Financial Account Transactions retrieve the current balance and recent transaction history for a financial account.
  • Account Statement Request generates and sends an account statement.

These capabilities support routine account servicing. When an account becomes overdue, a different agent helps collections teams determine the next action.

While Asset Finance Management is built for employees, Asset Finance Customer Management brings the same kind of self-service automation directly to customers, so they can handle routine financial requests without waiting on a rep.

Review Overdue Accounts with Collections and Recovery Assistance Agent

Managing delinquencies and recovering assets is one of the most time-sensitive workflows in captive finance. The Collections and Recovery Assistance agent works within the Collections and Recovery feature. It summarizes account status, surfaces recommended next actions, drafts customer messages, and tracks recovery progress.

Note

The Collections and Recovery Assistance agent isn’t included with standalone Automotive Cloud. It requires an additional license. Check with your Salesforce account team for details.

For example, a collections specialist starts their shift with a long list of delinquent accounts. Instead of reviewing each one manually, the specialist asks the agent to summarize a flagged account and recommend the next step. The agent then drafts an outreach message tailored to the customer’s account history and overdue balance.

Together, these capabilities connect account review, customer outreach, and recovery tracking in one workflow. The agent assembles the context and recommends a next step. The collections specialist decides how to proceed with the customer.

Manage Rebates with Channel Revenue Management Agent

Automotive companies rely heavily on dealer networks, which means managing complex rebate programs and ensuring accurate payouts is a constant priority. The Channel Revenue Management agent gives channel managers real-time visibility into rebate calculations, payout accuracy, and program performance. That means fewer surprises at quarter-end and stronger trust across the dealer network.

Consider this example. A channel manager is preparing for a quarterly dealer review and needs to verify rebate payouts for a dealer group in the Southeast region. The manager asks the agent to pull the rebate calculations, review overall program performance, and flag any discrepancies. The manager resolves the flagged issues and heads into the review with accurate, up-to-date payout data.

Behind the scenes, the Rebate Payout Insight subagent powers this experience. It helps channel managers retrieve payout periods, fetch aggregate summaries, troubleshoot discrepancies, and maintain transparency and traceability across dealer rebate programs.

A Connected Finance Experience

Across automotive financial operations, teams manage different relationships with customers and dealer partners.

A finance specialist uses the Asset Finance Management agent to help a customer requesting a lease payment adjustment. The agent checks eligibility, simulates revised terms, submits a deferral request, and drafts a confirmation before the account falls further behind.

On a separate overdue account, a collections specialist uses the Collections and Recovery Assistance agent to review account status, identify a recommended next action, and prepare customer outreach.

Meanwhile, the channel manager uses the Channel Revenue Management agent to review dealer rebate performance and investigate any payout discrepancies before a partner meeting.

Three agents, three workflows, one connected finance operation.

Wrap Up

Automotive businesses run on coordination across sales, service, warranty, finance, and dealer networks. The agents you explored across this badge support every part of that ecosystem, so teams spend less time navigating systems and more time focusing on customers.

From the first vehicle inquiry to final loan resolution, Agentforce for Automotive Cloud gives your teams a connected, AI-powered foundation to handle complex workflows through natural language. This replaces manual screen flows with dynamic, intelligent interactions that keep the customer at the center of every conversation.
