Builder Central Is a Beta Service
Builder Central is a pilot or beta service that is subject to the Beta Services Terms at Agreements—Salesforce.com or a written Unified Pilot Agreement if executed by Customer, and applicable terms in the Product Terms Directory. Use of this pilot or beta service is at the Customer's sole discretion.
The Non-GA Services are used in conjunction with GA Services which consume paid credits or entitlements (“entitlements”). Any corresponding consumption of entitlements arising from Customer's use of the Non-GA Services shall not give rise to any refund or credit rights.
Builder Central uses generative AI, which can produce inaccurate responses. Review its work before you deploy.

Coral Cloud Resorts, a luxury resort brand, wants a customer-facing service portal backed by an agent to handle guest inquiries. In the past, an admin would open Setup and hand-build every object, page, flow, and channel.
With Builder Central, you describe what you want in plain language, and the build starts from there, with a plan you review and a live preview you can refine before anything ships.
What's Builder Central?
Builder Central is a conversational, visual way to build Salesforce apps and agents by describing what you want. Instead of starting from a blank object manager, you start from a sentence. You describe the app you want, and Builder Central plans it. After you give the go-ahead, it generates the objects, pages, flows, and even an agent to go with them.
Building both the app and its agent from a single description is what makes Builder Central different from other tools.
You don't need to write code to use it. With visual editing and agentic chat, you can apply changes to your app, see them on screen, and let the underlying code update automatically. And you stay in control as it works, with nothing deployed until you're ready.
How Is Builder Central Different from Agentforce Vibes?
Both tools are part of the same family and are built on the same underlying Salesforce platform. Here's the short answer.
Agentforce Vibes is for developers. It combines a conversational AI experience with professional development tools, so you can chat with the agent, generate code, edit projects, and deploy—in VS Code or a cloud IDE.
Builder Central is for admins and builders who want to create apps by describing them instead of writing code. It's a conversational experience where you build and refine an app by describing what you want right in your browser, with no IDE required.
Think of it this way: Agentforce Vibes combines chat with a full developer environment, while Builder Central combines chat with a visual app builder which you can drive in plain language. The same underlying platform, optimized for different users and workflows.
How Do You Build an App?
Building an app in Builder Central follows a simple rhythm. You'll see a similar rhythm no matter what you're building.
- Describe it. You can start from a starter template or a blank conversation. In the chat, you see a prompt that asks, "Describe what you want to do in Salesforce…" Type your idea in plain language. Clear, specific descriptions work best, so say what the app should do and who uses it.
- Review the plan. Builder Central shares what it plans to build, and you can ask for changes before it proceeds. Depending on how you start, it shares a plan up front or goes straight to building, so a plan isn't always a separate step.
- Build and preview. Once you approve, Builder Central builds the app and shows you a live preview.
- Refine it. Not quite right? You don't have to start over or hand-edit code. You have two ways to adjust what got built. Use the visual editor to adjust settings and styles in the property panel or tell the Build Agent in chat what you'd like to revise. The Build Agent is the part of Builder Central that does the hands-on building, so either way, it makes the change for you.
- Deploy. When you're happy with the app, deploy it to your sandbox to try it in a real org environment. Making the app available in production is a separate step you handle outside Builder Central. Deploying is always something you control. It never happens without your permission.
These are general steps, not a rigid, locked sequence—Builder Central can group work or ask questions in a different order as it builds. And the process is iterative, so even after you deploy an app, you can keep refining it to match your evolving business needs.
Two Ways to See What You Built
Once Builder Central builds something, you have two complementary ways to check it. It helps to know the difference.
The metadata visualizations show the metadata that Builder Central generated as interactive diagrams, so you can see your app's structure at a glance. Today that includes your data model (the objects and how they relate), your agent, your flows, and your permission set. Use these visualizations to review what Builder Central built. To make a change, work in the Preview.
The Preview shows your working app the way an end user would see it, so you can explore and refine it before you deploy. When you want to test against real metadata, Builder Central deploys your work to a temporary preview org and opens it in a new tab, so you can explore real behavior without affecting your sandbox.
Two Ways to Refine What You Built
Seeing what got built is only half of it. When something isn't quite right, Builder Central gives you two ways to refine it, and you never need to touch code to do it.
- Edit in the property panel. Select any element in your app and adjust its properties in the property panel. When you apply your changes, Builder Central updates the underlying code in real time.
- Ask the agent to make the change. Prefer to describe it? In plain language, tell the Build Agent what you want, the same way you built the app in the first place.
You type in your change or just select and adjust, and Builder Central does the hands-on metadata work. Builder Central even knows enough to apply the style changes that you make to a reusable element, such as a tile or heading, to all other instances of that element in the app.
