Hi! I recently lost my job and want to take this opportunity to start with Salesforce. My main goal is to land a job in Salesforce, but I’d love to hear your recommendations, experiences, guidance, etc.

- First of all, I am sorry to hear that you lost your job. However I am glad that you are looking to diversify and broaden your knowledge with Salesforce.
The SF ecosystem is huge and there are multiple job areas where you can grow.
1. Understand where you want to begin and learn with. Basically if you are good with code, you can start on the developer pathway, or if you like configuration, then you can begin with the Admin/Platform Builder pathway. Or you can grow as a business analyst or product owner. So there are multiple options. It will depend on your interest, past experiences, and current skills. Career Paths -

3. Follow folks on Linkedin who are working in the SF space, and learn from them. Its also a great way to know about any open opportunities in their respective companies.
4. Commit to a Salesforce Certification. I would recommend the Admin cert. Recruiters usually love seeing a cert or 2 on your CV.
5. Be Patient!
