Hello all,
In the past few weeks my Tableau Desktop has been very slow to start and I can't figure out why.
My PC has an Intel i7-10700, 32gb of 2933 MHz RAM, 500gb NVMe PC611 SSD, and an AMD Radeon Pro W5500 so I do not think hardware is the issue. I have tried pervious versions of Desktop (2022.3 & 2022.4) and they both are slow. Tableau Prep & Bridge have no issues that I can see. We also tried uninstalling recent Windows updates and nothing has fixed the issue.
Has anyone else had similar issues or know what of a solution?

Open Tableau desktop hit file -> repository location-> and change it to a nonnetwork drive. Alternatively, you can modify your registry. All your settings are written to your registry. Well on windows I'm not sure about Mac.
On windows:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> SOFTWARE -> Tableau version# -> Directories
I wouldn't do the second option if you are not comfortable with modifying your registry settings.
