I have a dataset that has all zip codes for the US but some missing data for city and state. When I map it with one of my measures on color, the zip code areas that are missing city and state do not show up (i.e. they are holes in the map) even though there IS data for the measure for those zips and I have not added city or state to the view in any way. However, when I add city and state for any of these zip codes, then it maps correctly. See images below showing an example for zip code 60124 without city/state data and with city/state data. What's going on? And is there a way to correct this without adding all the missing city/state data to my dataset? Thanks!!!

OK I can explain what is going on
you have a complete list of zip codes (I mean nationally)
and that list of zips has some codes that are not associated with a city or a state
so when you filter for Illinois they wont show up
The question I have is where did you get the zip doe file - and do you know why there are some data missing
I am thinking you can cross the file with the zip code file at Tiger / US Census TIGER/Line Shapefiles
and use the Fips code
it is a pretty large file and I cannot attach it here
