Might be worth noting that my end goal is to be able to display a sentence like "there were [insert count of cases] cases on 1 January. But this doesn't work when I filter to a day with no cases, because the whole sentence goes away.

Tried this several times now and the final outcome is that the rows with no values for a particular date still don't show. I've followed the instructions exactly though.
