Create Salesforce Report with backed up Metadata XML file

Question

I am new to my Org, and I have found there are too many reports (800+), so I am going through deleting ones that are not used or duplicated etc... Before deleting them, I backed up their MetaData using Ecplise IDE + Force.com

plugin. If I delete a report, and want to restore it with my backed up XML files, how to I do this... Basically its like the MetaData insert equivalent of a Data Dataloader insert of a record. Thanks

OK I think using the Eclipse IDE with the  force.com  plugin works. I was able to right click on the Report Metadata file and deploy to website. This inserted the Metadata back in.
