I built a field to compare Contact and Account address fields (this is not a NPSP database). Both City fields in Accounts and Contacts are blank, but the formula field on Contacts that compares them via a checkbox value shows the two fields (that are both blank) are different. The Contact City field is showing as "0" in reports but is blank in the Contact edit screen. This difference is showing up in the formula field that compares them. Very strange. And problematic. I tried updating the "0" fields via the dataloader but that didn't change the "values."

    Hmmm. Never mind. When I set the data loader to insert null values I somehow did not save that change, so the "0" values were not being blanked out. I fixed that and the update worked. I don't understand why the record or two I looked at showed blank in City when the report showed "0" but those are all correct now.
