is there a function, without data import, that will allow me to create for example one contact with an opportunity without having to go to the different tabs for it?

Question

I would like to create a new contact and also include the opportunity. After all my data uploads, I seem to be having trouble with just adding one contact and opportunity connected with it.

My process:

1)Add new contact

2)Add opportunity

I would like to shorten the step even further by just utilizing a function that combines both in one form.

This can be done in VF with custom controller or  entering the details as lead and converting them into account contact and opportunity.
