Assign approval step to child record owner

We have an object with an approval process.  There is a related list on this object where the records have their own owners (user lookup fields).  How can we automatically assign a step on the approval process to any & all of the owners of the records in the related list?

    Hi Amber,

     

    This is currently not possible using the standard functionality of the Approval Process. A similar idea as already been submitted for the enhancement of this feature:

    I would recommend upvoting this idea to increase of getting this implemented in a future release.
