How do I get a customers email address to generate in a list pull?

I am pulling a list of clients for an upcoming event and I need the pulled list ot have clients email addresses so I can email them the invite. I am a SalesForce newbie and am already in over my head! I added the "Email" filter and said it must contain "@". It didn't do anything... help!

    I was old it would be under the contact bucket on the left, but I can't find a bucket named Contact and everything I can think to try doesn't generate any emails.
