Hi!

In our enterprise we have different areas which use Salesforce. I need help to interact between 2 of these Salesforce organizations. I would need to 'match' cases from the "Org 1" with records from a custom object in "Org 2". Specifically we have devided the Customer Service Salesforce org (Org 1) and other departments Salesforce organizations.

In this case I would need to identify in the Legal Department Salesforce Org which was the case that originated a lawsuit. Therefore, I have a case created in Org 1 which given enough time and no resolution will end in a lawsuit . This lawsuit is entered by the legal department into their Salesforce org (Org 2).

It is at this specific moment that it would be ideal for us to identify both records in one of the orgs (ideally in Org 2) and make this 'match'. Perhaps a look up to the case objetct in Org 1, or a trigger in Org 1 which creates a field update in Org 2. I really don´t know if its possible..

Any ideas?

Looking forward to your help :)

I would recommend checking out Salesforce to Salesforce. It allows you to link two Salesforce orgs, either within the same company or between companies. It is *not* reversible, so be very careful before enabling it!

Once enabled, you will have to have each record you want linked "shared" by the other org. It doesn't do automatic matching out of the box but you may be able to set that up using some sort of trigger?

I hope that gets you going in the right direction.
