One idea is that you could create a custom Badge and a Workflow that triggers to award the badge on certain achievements. The award could represent your gift card spiff that you could send via email to the winner. I'm sure there'd be a way to create a custom system to award gift cards, but I did not see anything in the Appexchange that has this functionality.
