Hello,
due to a merge of companies I'll be involved, as admin, in the process of transferring data and customizations from one org (Professional Edition) to another (Enterprise).
Does someone have suggestions and intersting articles to read about making a good migration plan?
thank you for your help.

Hi Mimma,
A couple considerations for your migration plan:
Identify the data you want to migrate. Maybe its all data maybe its particular objects or even maybe a couple years worth.
Make sure you have enough storage in your new org for the migration.
Always aim to cleanse the data before migrating
Create and identify various testing sandboxes and testing cycles/rules
Create a full copy sandbox of the Enterprise edition Org this will be used as your UAT environment prior to Production
Complete all your mappings from object mappings to field and relationship mappings
Identify any Reports/Dashboards/list viewss that will need to be recreated and add them to your run sheet
Identify order of operation for example Accounts must come before Contacts and Opportunities
Then once all finalised begin your loading process and testing in various stages
There are tools that can help with htis but they are paid solutions. If it is a large scale project then I suggest looking into something
