Adding a Record Type/Not displaying in Page Layout section of Custom Object Asst

Question

I added a record type.  After doing this, I went to Customer Object Assistance Page so as to work on the layout.  However, the Page Layout section does not display the new record type.  The Record Type section does.  What is it not showing in Page Layout section?

You have to create a new page layout and assign it to the new record type in order to have the new record type show there.
