The Team

As an admin, you have the important job of configuring Slack Sales Elevate. But it’s unlikely you’ll be working alone. Configuring Slack Sales Elevate will involve one or more people, depending on the structure of your organization. Let’s look at some of the people you might work with when configuring Slack Sales Elevate.

Responsibility

Executive Sponsor

This is the person in charge of your sales team. They ensure the project aligns with the overall sales strategy at your company. They help with resources and roadblocks throughout the project.

Salesforce Admin

The person(s) who manages your Sales Cloud configuration should own the configuration and maintenance of Slack Sales Elevate. Your Slack admin will need to assign the Sales Admin role to your Salesforce Admin to give them appropriate permissions to configure Elevate without securing Slack owner or administrator privileges.

Slack Admin

This person(s) should guide how Slack Sales Elevate fits into the overall plan and management of Slack at your organization.

Sales Operations (Ops) Stakeholder

This person(s) advises on internal processes used by the Sales team and identifies areas where Slack Sales Elevate can be implemented.

Sales Enablement

The person(s) who typically manages training and communication for the sales team to ensure everyone is aware of changes and has the skills necessary to succeed.

Subject Matter Expert (SME)/Champion

This person(s) is the functional expert for questions and escalations and product adoption.

Additional Stakeholders

Depending on your organization’s processes and policies, you can involve stakeholders from Security, Legal, or your Data Governance organization.
