After completing this unit, you’ll be able to:

  • List where to go to connect with others, get help, and collaborate.
  • Find a user group to connect with.
  • Introduce yourself to a Salesforce MVP.

Join the Community

Here’s where the Aloha spirit really sets in. If you were one of the 170,000+ people who attended Dreamforce ’16, you might already understand the electricity that our customers bring to one another. There’s nothing we love more than bringing them together. That’s when the real magic happens.

There are over 2.5 million members currently contributing to the Salesforce community.

But the true beauty of our Community is that it allows people to connect long after the conference is over and get answers from the community at the tap tap of a keyboard. It’s Dreamforce-level engagement and connectivity, 365 days a year.

We developed the online Salesforce Trailblazer Community as a place where business users, admins, partners, and employees can go to find answers, get synced up with their local user groups, help new customers get started, and get active in a community of enthusiastic and innovative people.

But it doesn’t stop there. Our Developer Community is a place for developers to learn, engage, and connect year-round. Developers can find resources, read the developer blog, sign up for a free Developer Edition, and connect with other developers on the Developer Forums.

It’s the people in our community that drive our product roadmap. We implement over 100 customer feature requests per release, all collected through the IdeaExchange on the Trailblazer Community!

Catch up with the Right User Groups

Finding the right user groups and developer groups when you’re new to Salesforce is like finding the perfect lunch table in high school. Whether you’re tied together by geography, industry, or product, these are people who really get you and your business. User groups and developer groups are customer-organized and meet online and in person to network, share ideas and get tips on how to get the most out of Salesforce. No lunchbox required.

Meet Our MVPs

An important part of our Trailblazer Community is our Salesforce MVPs. These individuals answer countless questions and Tweets, contribute to others on our Salesforce Trailblazer Community and Developer Forums, write helpful blog posts, lead user groups, submit top ideas, write and share complex formulas, share best practices, and are just all around wonderful human beings.

The most incredible thing about our MVPs? Not a single one is an employee. They put in all this time and effort for the good of the Salesforce community, and we recognize them for their leadership, knowledge, and ongoing contributions. These individuals represent the spirit of the community and what it is all about!
