Being recognized as a Trailblazer means a lot. It's touching when people say something I’ve shared has truly helped them. I never thought of myself as being an inspiration to others.
What motivated you to get started on Trailhead?
I started Trailhead back in December of 2014 and became a self-proclaimed “Trailhead addict” right away! Trailhead was new and had just been introduced at Dreamforce. I wanted to learn as much as I could about Salesforce and doing the challenges were fun.

How do you make time for Trailhead?
I try work on Trailhead a little bit each day. It's fun learning about new features and functionality, as well as soft skills or information about ISVs and non profits – things that may not normally be my primary focus.
What does being a Trailblazer mean to you?
A Trailblazer is someone who is motivated, persistent, passionate, won’t take ‘no’ for an answer, a person who inspires, and who is a leader in the community. Being recognized as a Trailblazer means a lot. It's touching when people say something I’ve shared has truly helped them. I never thought of myself as being an inspiration to others.
What is your biggest win thanks to something you’ve learned from Trailhead?
Through Trailhead I’ve broadened my knowledge on new and existing platform features. This has allowed me to contribute many ideas during discussions in project meetings. I'm on the Governance and Design Review Board at work, so modules such as “Security for Lightning Components” and “Secure Secret Storage” help ensure I'm informed on security risks.
How do you use your skills to give back to your community?
I've learned so much from many community members and I wanted to pay it forward to others - so I created a blog, the tagline of which is “Sharing my love for Salesforce with my #Ohana” and I really mean it. I also love to present at Salesforce events and on occasion I've done some offline process automation consultations with members in the community to assist them with their processes/flows.

It’s time to start your own story.
