#Trailhead Challenges1,946 discussing

Hands-on challenges are the “secret sauce” of Trailhead. Before searching for solutions to superbadge challenges, review the Salesforce Certification Program Agreement and Policies. ** NOTE ** : If you were able to get a response that solved your issue, please mark it as the 'Best Answer' to help other Trailblazers. If the issue persists after 48 hours, create a Trailhead Help case at https://help.salesforce.com/s/support for further assistance.

 Create a Custom Compact Layout

Ada requests specific information be shown in the highlights panel of the service console app. She’d like you to add Account Name, Case Owner, and Date/Time Opened fields related to the case so she and her team can access this information quickly when viewing and managing a case. Do this by creating a custom compact layout for the highlights panel.

  1. Click the gear icon and select Service Setup.
  2. Click the Object Manager tab.
  3. Click Case.
  4. Click Compact Layouts from the menu on the left.
  5. Click System Default, then click Clone.
  6. Fill out the details for the compact layout.
  • Label: Ursa Major Highlights PanelCopy
  • Name: (let default)
  1. From the Available Fields list, use CTRL/Command to select Account Name, Case Owner, and Date/Time Opened, and click Add to move the fields to the Selected Fields list. Keep Subject, Priority, Status, and Case Number in the Selected Fields list.
  2. Click Save.
  3. Click Compact Layout Assignment, then click Edit Assignment. From Primary Compact Layout, select Ursa Major Highlights Panel.
  4. Click Save.
  5. To test it, go back to the Ursa Major Solar Service Console app and check out your Highlights Panel. THE COMPACT LAYOUT NOT SEEN

    Hi @Dragan Isakovic

This error typically occurs because of a mismatch in the "Team Role" picklist values or a configuration step missed in the Account Teams setup.

Based on 2026 Trailblazer community solutions, follow these steps to fix the "Sales Engineer" role error:

    1. Verify Team Role Picklist Values

The most common cause is that the role name was entered with an incorrect API name or extra spaces.

    • Go to Setup > Account Teams > Team Roles.
    • Check the existing Sales Engineer role.
    • Crucial: Ensure the name is exactly Sales Engineer (case-sensitive) with a single space.
    • API Name Check: Ensure the API Name does not contain underscores (e.g., it should be Sales Engineer, not Sales_Engineer).

    2. Enable Opportunity Team Roles (Common Hidden Requirement)

Some versions of this challenge require the role to exist in both Account and Opportunity team settings, as they share picklist values.

    • In the Quick Find box, enter Opportunity Team Settings.
    • Select Enable Team Selling if it isn't already.
    • Click Opportunity Team Roles and ensure Sales Engineer is added there as well.

    3. Add to Default Account Team

The challenge often checks if the role is assigned to a specific user's default team.

    • Click your User Icon (top right) > Settings.
    • On the left sidebar, click Advanced User Details.
    • Scroll down to the Default Account Team related list and click Add.
    • Add a team member (like Amy Daniels, as per the 2026 instructions) and set their Team Role to Sales Engineer.

    4. Refresh Page Layouts

If the role is there but not showing, the related list might be missing from the layout.

    • Go to Object Manager > Account > Page Layouts.
    • Edit the Account Layout used in the challenge.
    • Drag the Account Team related list onto the page and click Save.

Pro Tip: If the error persists, ensure you are using a new Trailhead Playground. Old playgrounds may have conflicting roles or used licenses that prevent the challenge from verifying correctly.

I'm having some issues with the Protect your Data in Salesforce, specifically the last module in the series.  Set Up Account Teams.

I feel I have done all of the proceeding steps, but cannot see the Add Default button = nor can I add it with the prescribed solution.

Setup > Edit Object > Page Layouts > Account (Marketing) layout > Related Lists > Drag and drop the Account Team component onto the layout > Save

Kind regards

Paul
