 Hi @Adi _Vishnu, I know this is a bit of a late reply, but I recently faced the same issue that you described. I was able to solve it after identifying a mistake I made in the previous trail (https://trailhead.salesforce.com/content/learn/projects/create-reports-and-dashboards-for-sales-and-marketing-managers/use-summary-formulas-in-your-reports) "Use Summary Formulas in Your Reports" Trailhead module. I hadn't set the Close Date filter to All Time. After changing it to All Time

, I was able to see the expected results.  

@riad bouchenak You do not need to wait for a certification to start getting real Salesforce experience. If your goal is Salesforce Admin specifically, I would focus on building proof of hands-on work first. The best starting point is a Trailhead Playground and a free Developer Edition org, because both let you practice in a real Salesforce environment instead of only reading theory. Trailhead’s own guidance for Playground Management is literally to create hands-on orgs and practice your Salesforce skills, and Salesforce Developers also offers free trial orgs for testing and development.

A practical path would be this. Start with Salesforce Fundamentals and the Salesforce Admin Career Path, then build things that look like real admin work: create users, profiles, permission sets, custom objects, page layouts, validation rules, reports, dashboards, list views, flows, and basic automation. Salesforce positions Career Paths as guided, role-specific learning with hands-on practice, and the Admin path is specifically built around the Salesforce Admin role.

Then make your practice look like experience. Do not just say “I completed badges.” Build 2 or 3 small portfolio projects in your org, for example:

•  a help desk org with cases, queues, assignment rules, and dashboards 
•  a sales pipeline org with leads, opportunities, approval flow, and reports 
•  a nonprofit donor tracking org with contacts, campaigns, and automation 

That matters because Salesforce’s Trailblazer Career Marketplace lets you showcase projects

, work history, and additional career details through Career Mode, not just certifications. Employers can search based on skills, products, and profile details.

For real-world exposure, volunteering is one of the most legitimate paths when you are new. Salesforce has an official Trailhead trail called Volunteer Your Salesforce Expertise, and it is specifically about helping nonprofits and education organizations through pro bono Salesforce work. It also covers project scoping, sustainable solution design, deployment, and handoff, which is exactly the kind of experience beginners usually lack.

I would also actively plug into the community, not passively wait for opportunities. Join the Admin Trailblazer Community, local Trailblazer Community Groups, and mentorship spaces. Salesforce’s Admin Career Path links directly to the Admin community, and Salesforce’s learning programs also point beginners toward community and mentorship opportunities.

This error usually means the challenge validator couldn't find a report with the expected "Discovery" report type, even if you've completed the steps. 

I'd suggest checking:

• Whether the report was created using the correct report type specified in the challenge.
• That the report and dashboard were saved successfully and not left in a private folder.
• If everything looks correct, try deleting and recreating the report, then run the challenge check again.

I've seen Trailhead validation occasionally fail due to metadata sync delays, so logging out and back in or waiting a few minutes before rechecking can also help.

@Kiran Kharade - Vashi Integrated Solution Ltd depends on what you mean by "view CPQ report data."

If the users need to open reports that are built directly on CPQ objects such as CPQ Quotes, Quote Lines, Subscriptions, Contracts, or other SBQQ__ package objects, then report folder access alone will not solve it. They still need the required object, field, record, and package/license access behind those reports. Salesforce’s CPQ permissions guidance states that CPQ access is controlled through CPQ licenses and package-specific permission sets (Get Started with Salesforce CPQ Permissions)

Recommended option is to give CPQ licenses only to users who need direct access to CPQ records, then create a restricted read-only permission model for them as much as CPQ allows.

For non-CPQ users, the safer approach is not to expose the CPQ objects directly. Create a separate reporting layer, such as a custom reporting object, summary object, scheduled snapshot, CRM Analytics dataset, or exported BI dataset, containing only the fields they are allowed to see. Then report on that object/dataset instead of the live CPQ package objects. That gives visibility without opening full CPQ record access.

A dashboard with a running user may work for high-level summary visibility, but it should not be treated as a clean replacement for proper CPQ licensing or record access, especially if users need to drill into report details. 

My recommendation is: direct CPQ report access usually requires CPQ access. For non-CPQ users, create a controlled summary/reporting layer and expose only the required CPQ data there.

I had problems also. I had to redo the project. Found out it was a spelling error in the name. Everything has to be exact from the exercise or there is an error.

Problem fixed. I deleted the other apps, they were overlapping.

The issue is you have created Report and Dashboard custom objects and created the tabs for these objects and added these custom tabs to the "My Trailblazer Journey" app. But Reports and Dashboards are standard tabs available in the org and these tabs to be added to the app.

I have removed the custom tabs and added the standard Reports tab and Standard Dashboards tab to the My Trailblazer Journey app and now the challenge is working as expected.
