Resolved: I have fresly installed packaging/installPackage.apexp?p0=04t0P000000N9rs and redone all the work!
Finally able to clear the challange......
Hi everyone,
I am working on the Trailhead module:
Data Security → Control Access to Fields
I created the permission set exactly as instructed:
- Label: Manage Job Applications
- API Name: Manage_Job_Applications
- License: None
- Job Application object permissions: Read and Edit
However, the challenge validation still fails.
I noticed that in all of my Trailhead Playgrounds:
- There is no Candidate object (only Applicant).
- The Job Application object contains Candidate__c and Position__c as Text fields instead of Lookup fields.
Because of this, I cannot configure the permission set exactly as the challenge expects.
Has anyone experienced this issue? Is this a Playground provisioning issue or has the Recruiting sample app changed?

I keep getting the error message "We can't find that the ‘Manage Job Applications’ permission set grants read access and edit access to all Job Application fields, except edit access for Position and Candidate." Yet I have it set up correctly. I have done the previous modules but am still getting this.
I was able to figure it out. First I had to install this package "04t0P000000N9rs"
I did it in my current environment and had to remove all permission set groups and delete the permission set and the previous 'Job Application' object I created since the data was missing because I was missing the data package ( I am sure it would work if you started it in a new environment and restarted the challenge. )
Since the package comes with its own Candidate and Position fields, you have to go into each one of these within the Job Application Object under Field & Relationships -> Select Candidate ->Edit - > change field type - > Select lookup relationship -> Next -> Next-> (VERY IMPORTANT) Select Read Access and unselect Edit Access -> Save
Now do the same for Position.
After that just follow the Challenge Promp.
Set up ' Manage Job Application Permission Set'
Go to Object Settings under 'Job Applications'
It should look like this and you're done!

Hi,
I did create a Permission Set for "Manage Job Applications" but unable to edit the "Candidate" and "Positions" object field access on Job Applications object. It's all greyed out. I even checked these two objects separately and field level marked as disabled. Please help me with this?.

I'm currently stuck on the Control Access to Fields Hands-On Challenge in the Data Security module and could use some guidance.
Challenge Requirements:

Enable Job Application Object Permissions: Read and Edit
Enable Job Application Field Permissions: Users can view all fields and edit all fields, except they can't edit Position and Candidate
The challenge keeps returning this error:
"We can't find that the 'Manage Job Applications' permission set grants read access and edit access to all Job Application fields, except edit access for Position and Candidate."

For this Challenge you should use Special Dev Org with prerequired Data and use data from Recruiting App, which you can install using this ID:
04t0P000000N9rs
!!! Also too, you should finished all Challenges from this unit on the same SF Org, because every new Challege continuous previous one.

I followed all instructions for dev org and even installed package, and i still run into problem for both units "control access to object" and "control access to fields", for unit "control access to object" i had to create a reviews object why? if all features were downloaded for package? also for units "control access to field" i cant find field permissions such as "apex_c" why if i followed all instructions i also dont have the "C# checkbox, please someone help
