#Trailhead Challenges2,454 discussing

Hands-on challenges are the “secret sauce” of Trailhead. Before searching for solutions to superbadge challenges, review the Salesforce Certification Program Agreement and Policies.

Hi There! I am trying to complete a trail using my Developer Account. I am unable to do this because I can't find the CPQ Tile that it's telling me to use. Can anyone help me with this?

    Hi,

The CPQ tile isn’t showing up because CPQ isn’t included by default in a regular Developer Account. For Trailhead exercises, you’ll need a CPQ-enabled Playground. Once you set it up, you should be able to find the CPQ tile and continue with the module.

In the

  1. Filter Discount Schedules by Records and Fields,

trailhead, i see twin fields are created for Cross orders one on the asset and other one on the Quote

I see 2 issues here

1) The constraint field is created on the Asset and Quote Object  instead of Quote line

2) The salesforce article says that a constraint field cannot be a formula field but in the trailhead it is created as a formula field on both Asset and the Quote.

Constraint Field

If you use cross-order discount schedules, limit the records Salesforce CPQ considers to records with matching fields. The field must exist on both the quote line that’s evaluated and the subscriptions and assets that the discount schedule evaluates the quote line against. The constraint field can’t be a formula field. This feature doesn’t work with amendments, because amendments don’t look up to other orders.

The confusion here is how the assets are identified during this cross order process ??. Can someone explain how this trailhead example works ??

    Hi, @indra ganesan

Make sure that all Challenges from this topic are completed in the same Playground. Each subsequent Challenge builds on the previous one.

Also too, for this Challenge you should use Special Dev Org:

    1. Sign up for a free Developer Edition org with Salesforce CPQ.
    2. Fill out the form.
      1. For Email, enter an active email address.
      2. For Username, enter a username that looks like an email address and is unique, but it doesn't need to be a valid email account (for example, yourname@cpq4ever.com).
    3. After you fill out the form, click Sign me up. A confirmation message appears.
    4. When you receive the activation email (this might take a few minutes), open it and click Verify Account.
    5. Complete your registration by setting your password and challenge question. Tip: Write down your username, password, and login URL for easy access later.
    6. You are logged in to your Developer Edition.

Now connect your new Developer Edition org to Trailhead.

    1. Make sure you’re logged in to your Trailhead account.
    2. In the Challenge section at the bottom of this page, click the playground name and then click Connect Org.
    3. On the login screen, enter the username and password for the Developer Edition you just set up.
    4. On the Allow Access? screen, click Allow.
    5. On the Want to connect this org for hands-on challenges? screen, click Yes! Save it. You are redirected back to the challenge page and ready to use your new Developer Edition to earn this badge.

Now that you have a Salesforce CPQ-enabled org, you’re ready to learn the many ways that you can use CPQ to discount products manually and automatically.

    Sincerely,

Challenge : Get Started with Salesforce CPQ for Pricing

I used the Salesforce CPQ signup page to create a CPQ-enabled Developer Edition org.

I signed in to my new Developer Edition org and connect my Developer Edition org to Trailhead but, when I try to valide the challenge, i've got this error : "We can't find the right data in your org. Make sure you signed up for a new CPQ-enabled org and selected it in the Hands-on Challenge picklist."

I don't understand where is the problem... Somebody could help me please ?
