#Trailhead Challenges2,348 discussing

Hands-on challenges are the “secret sauce” of Trailhead. Before searching for solutions to superbadge challenges, review the Salesforce Certification Program Agreement and Policies.

Someone else had this problem? Challenge not yet complete in Wise Unicorn Playground

We can’t find the correct object permissions for account in the ‘Sales User’ permission set group.

Also,

  • Assign the permission set group to the user you created in the previous unit.How do I do this? what user is it meant? when i do manage assignments and try to assigb to sales user it says that the user doesnt have a license for it?

This was the challenge:

Configure Object, Field, and Record Access

As part of your data access configuration, you must give your sales reps access to accounts. You plan to reuse the same permission set for users who’ll need greater access to accounts, so you’ll mute certain permissions for your sales reps using a permission set group.

You also need to configure your organization-wide defaults for accounts and opportunities so users only see the records they need to.

  • Create a permission set:
    • Label: Account Access
    • API Name: Account_Access
    • Add a description (We won’t check for this.)
    • License: -None-
    • Enable Account Object Permissions: Read, Create, Edit, Delete, View All Records, and Modify All Records
    • Enable Account Field Permissions: Read Access and Edit Access for all fields
  • Create a permission set group and assign it to the user you created:
    • Label: Sales User
    • API Name: Sales_User
    • Include the Account Access permission set that you created
    • Create a muting permission set in the permission set group and name it Sales User Muted (API Name: Sales_User_Muted)
    • Mute Account Object Permissions: Delete, View All Records, and Modify All Records
    • Mute Account Field Permissions: Edit Access for the Annual Revenue and Customer Priority fields
    • Assign the permission set group to the user you created in the previous unit
  • Configure organization-wide defaults:
    • Account and Contract: Visible but not editable for all users.
    • Opportunity: Visible only to record owners and users higher in the role hierarchy.

    Challenge not yet complete in Wise Unicorn Playground

    We can’t find the ‘Sales User Muted’ muting permission set related to the ‘Sales User’ permission set group. Now trying to do this again, I deleted the Sales User Muted but it still says that I cannot add it because there is already an existing one with the same name

I have done everything in the Hands on Challenge for this Trailhead and when I click on "Check Challenge to Earn 500 Points" an error message comes up. I have followed all of the steps and created the 'Permission Set' identified in the challenge. Any suggestions on what to do from here?

    So, the instructions were unclear to me as I created the Sales User Muted under Permission Sets and not Permission Set Groups. I in a workshop to complete my admin certification. Another student help me to identify this issue. Once I created the "Sales User Muted" within the Permission Set Groups, I was able to pass the Trailhead module.

Hello,

I am in the process of completing the User Management: Control What Your Users Can Access module.

I have completed all the steps. However, when I go to step that requires me to:

  • Create a muting permission set in the permission set group and name it Sales User Muted (API Name: Sales_User_Muted), I get the following message when trying to create the required muting permission set: "The API name you entered is already in use. Enter a unique API name."

I didn't create and can't find the API that is supposedly already exists. Also, the challenge won't work with a different name and API name. I've tried to create new playgrounds and get other error messages.

    I had exactly the same issue and error message on my playground for this same challenge, but I found what the problem was:

    By mistake, I created a muting permission set not related to the permission set group. After realizing my mistake, I removed the muting permission set, but then I was not allowed to create the muting permission set under the permission set group with the same name. Most probably it's a bug on the platform.

    The only way I was able to fix this is by creating a new playground and disconnecting the previous one, but that means it will be necessary to start the previous challenge of the same module again.

Hi! Thank you for all your support!

I am working on the challenge below;

========

Mute Permissions in a Permission Set Group

Update the Sales Processing permission set group to prevent its assigned users from editing and deleting contracts.

  • Mute the Edit and Delete permissions for contracts:
    • Permission set group: Sales Processing
    • Muting permission set: Contracts Permissions Muted
    • Object: Contracts
    • Permissions to mute: Edit and Delete

========

Now I got an error saying;

Insufficient Privileges

You do not have the level of access necessary to perform the operation you requested. Please contact the owner of the record or your administrator if access is necessary. For more information, see Insufficient Privileges Errors.

It would be great if you could help! TIA!

    Hi @Miho Koga

    If we searching for contracts within the find settings search box, we will get the error. Instead, please go to my sales processing permission>muting perm. set in group>contracts permission muted>object settings>contracts> From here you can now mute edit and delete to complete the trailhead.

    Thanks.
