Updating OpenJDK to version OpenJDK 11.0.25 release, build 9

Tableau server 2023.3.5 comes with openjdk 11.0.24. There is currently a list of vulnerabilities for openjdk 11.0.24.  https://ubuntu.com/security/notices/USN-7097-1

Does Tableau server version need to be updated to update the openjdk version to OpenJDK 11.0.25 release, build 9? If so which version of Tableau server would update openjdk to the latest version?

    Hi @Kin Liu

    , 

    I just checked randomly an instance at version 2023.3.15  because it is what I had at hand. 

    It is shipped with openjdk version "11.0.28" 2025-07-15. 

    So yes take one of the latest  Tableau Server patch release of 2023.3 (for example or any later major release) and you will be fine. 

    Do not attempt to attempt to update openjdk manually.

Snowflake Output Connection failed on Tableau CRM

Hello, I just started a 30-days free trail on testing data pipeline btn salesforce and snowflake. When I set up the output connection, I received an error message saying "JDBC driver encountered communication error. Message: HTTP status=504. Error in Job ID connector.4fGXtD077eILuFl1cKNHUV:"

 

A little bit background of this, when I entered the output connection from snowflake. I created the database, warehouse and schema first in snowflake and used them in the connection set up. Is it because I'm under a free trail from salesforce to cause this error?  Any inputs or suggestions are greatly appreciate! Thank you.

Embeded tableau visualization filter

Can we pass the parameter to embedded tableau visualization to filter the data.

for ex: we can pass the user id to embed code then based on id i have to show data.

Espero que estejam todos muito bem!

 

Meu nome é Diogo Abdalla, brasileiro de São Paulo, moro em Buenos Aires há muito anos e sou Success Guide de Plataforma e Tableau CRM na Salesforce!

 

Eu fui dar uma olhada nos novos módulos e projetos deste mês no Trailhead e encontrei o novo projeto "Integrate Local and Remote Data in Tableau CRM"! 

 

Excelente oportunidade para criar fluxos de dados de diferentes fontes, criar receitas que combinem colunas e campos de diversos tipos, para uma ou duas organizações da mesma empresa, combinando conjuntos de dados de uma ou mais fontes de dados, agendar atualizações de conexões, fluxos, receitas e conjuntos de dados, entre outras coisas.

 

Recordei muitas funcionalidades no Dataset Builder. Descobri funções que desconhecia em Recipes e aprendi a criar e combinar conjuntos de dados de diferentes organizações, usando dinâmicas dos dataflows. Recomendadíssimo! 

 

E vocês, já conhecem as trilhas de Tableau CRM? Completaram algum módulo ou projeto de Tableau CRM? Quais? O que mais gostou de aprender e o que gostaria de aprender um pouco mais? Fácil? Difícil?
