Hi,

I have a dashboard to show top opportunities. Now, I want to add field to show what is next best action for the opportunity.

Can we show next best action in CRM Analytics?

When you create a model in Einstein Discovery, you can define the actionable variables of the model. Einstein Discovery will make improvement suggestions based on these actionable variables.

This is different to Einstein Next Best Action (which is rule-based), but can suggest the next best step. Highly depends on the details of your use case.

I don't know a way to display Einstein Next Best Action in a dashboard.

Hi! We need to take some automatic actions in SFDC after the recipe in Analytics has finished succesfully.

How can we figure out from inside of SFDC that it has happened? Most preferably we don't want to check the logs (or anything else) from time to time, but have an event raist that would tell us that recipe has finished. Is that somewhat possible?

Looking at the objects available, I do see an AnalyticRecipeCompleteEvent, which seems like a solid starting point.

How are you activating the recipe? On a schedule, manually, or programmatically? To make best use of this, you'll need to have the Recipe ID. As long as you know your recipe name, you can use the REST API call for getRecipes, and select the id of the recipe with the matching name.

An event or record triggered Flow with an Apex Action to confirm which recipe fired the event (leave an attribute exposed on the Apex Action to set the recipe name, for re-use), then run the rest of your Apex should work well as a solution. Good luck!

Hello  Everyone, needed your suggestion on this!

Scenario: We are trying to freeze a part of the dashboard by putting rest of the widgets in one component. Post this change, we are facing an issue where toggle (present in dashboard) is not applying in component level. Can anyone suggest on this?

Hi, for some reason I'm not able to save views on a dashboard once I've applied filters criteria.  I've used this feature in the past to save the filets, so I don't have to select them each time that I open the dashboard but for some reason is not showing anymore.

Save Your Filtered View of a Dashboard (salesforce.com)

Anyone knows if a permission needs to be set up have this feature?

Best,

Carlos

That is in the settings as "Enable dashboard saved views". Also make sure the dashboard is saved as well, it won't work on unsaved dashboards.

I created a formula field via a transformation node in a recipe to display the first day of the week based on the created date: date_trunc('week', CreatedDate)

However, this date seems to be displaying the first day as Monday of that week and we would like to have the first day be Sunday of that week. I created a date configuration in the data prep settings to have the week start on Sunday (see attached screenshot). I ran all the connections and recipe again and it was still displaying Monday instead of Sunday.

I then applied the Date Configuration to the dataset output node in the recipe (see attached screenshot) and re ran the connections and recipe. However, it still displayed Monday instead of Sunday.

Has anyone faced something similar or have any suggestions on why the date will not update to Sunday?

Thanks!

I'm building a lens in CRM Analytics and noticed some discrepancies in the data compared to the same object in a salesforce report (had just synced data, this is not the issue). See screenshots below, how could the same data be show different values (closed won vs. agreement pending) when source objects should be the same? note - the rows with discrepancies have not been updated in 24hrs so I'm fairly certain it's not an issue with recent syncing.   Both the lens and report are pulling from the opportunity object. In the lens it's built off a dataset that is just a recipe containing the opportunity object and an output node.

I have experienced the exact same issue with a recipe of mine. No data sync filters, full sync mode, and yet the input object node in the recipe presented different data than the report in salesforce.

Fix: Disconnected the object from data sync and from the recipe, reconnected it, ran a manually full sync and re loaded in a new node to the recipe

Hi all,

I use Tableau Prep locally and after pod migration to hyperforce, workflow prep shows error about incorrect URL to access Tableau Cloud (see attached screenshot)

Pod new name: EW1A(

ew1a.online.tableau.com

) | Europe - Germany (formerly Europe - Ireland)

Tableau Prep version 2021.1

Hi! I will mark this solved since the problem is not related to the migration to Hyperforce. Other workflows Tableau Prep connected correctly to Tableau Cloud. Fort this specific workflow, after different trials I could connect to Tableau Cloud Url, that haven't changed. Thanks.

I've one where data is not coming after running dataflow.  usually we use to wait for sometime and data come but for this data is not coming and still getting error message.

Error Message: Your dataset has not been queried in a while. We are recovering your data. Please check back in a few minutes.

    Hi Pranit,

can you open the dataset edit page of this dataset and

    - check the number of rows?

    - try to revert to a former version of this dataset?

The concept of digesting from and registering into the same dataset is definitely working. I've done this many, many times, and the snapshot analytics template is using exactly the same logic.

Client is looking to report on Einstein Activity Capture Activities and segment by various attributes in CRMA.

My client has CRM Analytics and recently purchased Einstein Activity Capture (EAC). It looks like reporting on EAC activities in native SF reporting is not possible (Unified Activities object). This is because of duplicated activities (IE an event with 2 people will show as 2 events I believe). When it comes to CRMA, it looks like the Unified Activities object cannot be synced to CRMA (object does not support SOQL queries). This means that the only other options is the SF generated dataflow which creates Activities and Users datasets. The issue I have with the Activities dataset is that most of the columns are Multi-Value columns, so for an Event record with 3 people, the User Id column for that activity would have 3 users Ids stored as an array. This means that I have no way to figure out who the owner/organizer is for the event.

Am I missing something?

You need to create a matrix report, with only one regular column "Activity id" and then you count unique value for this column

Hi Experts,

  1. I have a dataset with a date field. I created a lens.
  2. When I added a filter for the current fiscal year to the date field, it only shows the filtered dates as the calendar year (Jan 1, 2024, to Dec 31, 2024) instead of the fiscal year (Apr 1, 2024, to Mar 31, 2025)

Please guide me on this how to resolve this issue

Hi Manjula Rajaram You have to make 3 changes

    1. Setup-company information-fiscal year-Fiscal Year Start Month=April

    2. In Recipe Level At the output of the recipe there is an option called 'Date Configuration' select as 'Fiscal'

3.Salesforce org settings, go to Analytics>Data Prep Settings and enable date configurations.
