I am trying to load 10 test records of data for the Program object, and I am using Data Loader.

Data Loader reports 10 successes, but when I do a report some of the fields in the CSV file don't load, eg, Parent Program

Here's a report - the top line I entered manually to check if it worked, the rest is the loaded data from the CSV. In the CSV file the Parent Program is the name

I have the same question as what was posted here - Picklist Field value selection | Salesforce Trailblazer Community

.  Basically want to show picklist values based on a lookup field,  much like a dependent picklist but using the lookup field.   The response was it was not possible out of the box.  I am wondering if anything has changed where this is now possible or if not, are there any suggestions for a work around.

We are managing service based Programs in Non-Profit Cloud and would like to have different stages or outcomes based on the Program selected.

Thank you

Yes, absolutely. Screen flows can have different visibility of components based on values in a field

What's the best practice for creating a Party Role Relationship that will be used between two people at the same level ? For example, a professional relationship, coworkers, or classmates. (or between two accounts)

Generally we check the 'create inverse role automatically' option so the connection is visible in both directions and maintains the data integrity, but when the terms are the same on both sides this doesn't work. I'm forced to choose between forcing different role names which ruins the equality, or manually creating the reciprocal, which I can't guarantee all of the users will do.

Would you just not select 'create inverse role automatically'.  Then you have the single PPR, that can be used from both sides.

When I created one for Colleague, it resulted in this ID:

    Colleague-Colleague-CCR

    Which seems fine for naming/format.

When you say 'manually creating the reciprocal' - with NPC, the reciprocal always has to be manually created, right?  I mean when we are connecting two entities, eg Contact to Contact.  You create one ContactContactRelation for Miley Cyrus and Peter Pan, then manually create another ContactContactRelation for Peter Pan and Miley Cyrus.

Unless this is custom automation you have in your org?

🎉 🎉 🎉 Announcing the new NPC Certification Exam 🎉 🎉 🎉

Hi everyone! I am so excited to announce the launch of the brand new Salesforce Certified Nonprofit Cloud Consultant (NPC) exam, which tests on the NPC product built into the core of Salesforce. This exam was created in partnership with a diverse team of subject matter experts and stakeholders from across the nonprofit community, and we couldn’t be happier with the final result!

The new exam is going to live alongside the *existing* certification exam, which tests on the nonprofit managed packages. Please read the FAQ documentation closely, as it explains our rationale for having two exams, and highlights future name changes to come.

Thank you to all of the community members who participated in designing and authoring this exam. Our goal is to support you and to ensure your success with NPC. We truly could not have created this exam without you, and we hope this certification serves you well. 🫶

I'm using an AFNP/NPC org and I am trying to open read and edit access to the Program Cohort and Program Cohort Member objects for some users, and for some reason, creating custom permission sets that open up this access and make the tabs available and visible still does not result in the user being able to see these objects. OWDs are public for both objects.

The Advanced Program Management permission set seems to be the only thing working in my org to give users visibility to these objects, but it gives more access than I need and I'd like to pair it with a muting permission set. Even when adding it to an otherwise empty permission set group, the permission set group fails when I add Advanced Program Management and isn't able to be assigned to users. Anyone else dealt with this?

This actually did work in my sandbox! But I'm curious whether this will affect the experience or bloat anything in my system. I don't think I'd ever actually be using any of the Care Plan objects.

I am working in non profit cloud, I just started out a few days ago. I am trying to build an org which accepts transactions from a site and stores the transactions as gift commitment and transactions. But I don't get why we have opportunity and gift commitment is a child of opportunity. Can anybody give an explanation on how I can use this opportunity and gift commitment? Excuse me if my basics are lacking.

I am experiencing an issue with the Volunteer Management component in Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC) where volunteers are not populating in the search results for specific early morning shifts.

Environment Details:

  • Operating Hours : (GMT+05:30) India Standard Time (Asia/Kolkata)
  • Feature: NPC  Volunteer Management (Search For Volunteer Tab - Job Shift Search)

The Issue:

When searching for available volunteers based on

Job Position Shifts, the results vary depending on the time of day:

  • Scenario A (Failing): If I create time slots from 1:00 AM to 6:00 AM, no available volunteers populate in the component.
  • Scenario B (Working): If I create time slots from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the volunteers populate as expected.

Troubleshooting Performed:

  • Confirmed that the volunteers have matching Time slots availability for the 1 AM - 6 AM window.
  • Verified the Time Zone settings for both the Running User and the Org.

Is there a known limitation or offset issue in NPC Volunteer Management regarding shifts that begin shortly after midnight?

Thank you for your reply @Ashwini Garwandha

I have verified that I am using the correct time zone for the running user (see attached screenshot showing IST GMT+5:30).

Thank you for your reply I have verified that I am using the correct time zone for the running user (see attached screenshot showing IST GMT+5:30).

Since the time zone settings appear correct but the 1 AM – 6 AM shifts still fail to return results, could you suggest any other areas to investigate?

We have turned ON the Enhanced Interaction Note Interface.  I am struggling a bit on how best to implement.

- We have record types set up for Interaction Summaries and the interface does not 'ask' what record type

- We have added fields to both Interaction and Interaction Summary and I can't find a way to get them to be included

- I see a Printable View on the Interaction, but I would like to customize what fields are included.

- Would also love to be able to use Printable View on a date range of interactions.  Is that possible?

Thank you

Yeah, the Enhanced Interaction Notes UI is pretty locked down right now — it won’t prompt for record type and custom fields don’t show unless they’re part of the default layout it uses. You’ll need to update the page layout for Interaction/Interaction Summary in Object Manager to get more fields in there, but Printable View isn’t customizable and doesn’t support date ranges out of the box. For that, you’re better off building a custom report on Interactions and using report export/print instead.

When I am trying to create a new Individual Application record in NPC org I get an error' License Type is a required field'. There is no field called License type in that object.

License Type is a required field in NPC
