Hello,

The next event for the Cleveland Tableau Users Groups will take on July 16, 2015 at the following address.

Date and Time:

5:30 PM to 8:00 PM

July 16, 2015

Location:

651 Beta Dr.

Mayfield Village, OH

This event is a Group Viz Competition.

It's a friendly competition that will take place during the July TUG meeting and all submissions must be made by 8/1. We're holding our meeting on 7/16 and we're hoping to flex our CLE TUG muscle! Here are the rules:

Tableau War of TUGs 2015 Amended

How the competition will work:

1.You will receive an email with a link to a Dropbox folder the day of your July TUG meeting. This folder will contain an Excel file with the dataset, as well as additional information that should help you understand the data.

2.Explore the data and create your amazing viz/vizzes. Make sure it works well and looks good on Tableau Public.

3.Package the workbook and upload it back to the same Dropbox folder. Access to the Dropbox folder will expire at the end of the day, so make sure to upload before midnight.

* Additional Information:

1.Each TUG may submit up to three (3) vizzes. Each viz will be judge separately, on it’s own merit.

2.Additional data sources and materials may be used to supplement the data provided. Judging: 1.There will be two winners: a.One determined by our panel of Zen Masters and Tableau Employees b.One voted the crowd favorite

That being said, here is the loose itinerary for our meeting on the 16th (to be tightened up later):

Where - Progressive has been gracious enough to let us use their auditorium for this TUG. Thank you Progressive! Sprinkles are for winners!

5:30 to 6:00 PM : Initial Gathering with Pizza and Soda

6:00 PM : Introductions by Jeremy, Paul, and Pawan

6:15 PM : Builds for the competition begin!

7:00-7:15 PM Wrap up builds and review

Please being your laptop! We want this to be an interactive meeting where all users can either push the limits of their Tableau knowledge and/or learn from others!
