Do I need to create Pardot automation to have Pardot score Leads inserted into Salesforce?  We insert a lot of Leads with a Lead Source Subtype = Webinars, but Pardot isn't scoring any of those Leads.

    @Peter Martensen

    Yep, indeed. Form or Form Handler add 50 points upon Prospect creation.

    Creating a Prospect using Pardot's API does not.

Hey everyone,

We've been using MCAE for about a year now. Despite that, our actual deliverability rate (based on GlockApps reports, not Pardot's internal metrics) is still hovering around 60%.

We're on a dedicated IP, and to help with IP warming, we used a seed list from Warmy.io

, which significantly improved our results.

I'm curious to hear from anyone who has consistently achieved 90%+ deliverability. If that's you, I'd love to learn more about your setup, processes, and any best practices you've found effective.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am a Marketing Automation Specialist. I have never used Pardot. I intend to apply for roles on Pardot. I know it was renamed to Marketing Cloud Account Engagement. I checked out the resources in Trailhead; there were a lot and I didn't know where to start, so I am not all over the place. I would greatly appreciate your guidance on the best way I could learn Pardot from scratch.

    @Patience Adaobor

    Hi Patience,

    Certification preparation are great ways to start. There are two Account Engagement certifications : Specialist and Consultant. Following the Specialist preparation trailmix (every cert has an associated trail mix to guide you through the prep.) is a good start.

    Hope this helps 😎

Good morning!

I want to do the Marketing Cloud Account Engagement Consultant exam at short notice. So far I have been doing Trailhead Trailmixes, reading MCAE posts and exam guidelines, following Bootcamp on Youtube, practising in a demo org and delivering projects for customers.

Do you have any additional tips & tricks that could increase my chances to pass the exam? For instance, it would be beneficial to practise real test exams..

Thanks for your help!

Cheers

Jeroen

    Hi @Jeroen Coopmans,

    If you have access to PLC, complete this course as well: Marketing Cloud Account Engagement and Lightning Content Builders: Architecture

    All the best for your exam!

Hi! My org recently updated our Pardot-Wistia connector to the new version of the connector which creates external activities for every video. This new version of the connector breaks the native scoring features Pardot used to have for video played/watched 75%+. Anyone out there design a solution for scoring with this new connector? We have dozens of videos and creating automation rules specific to the name of each video seems inefficient but the only option with external activities - I haven't worked with external activities much and the documentation seems to point towards needing to work with Apex and the API to accomplish anything with them?

Has anyone successfully validated a subdomain? Salesforce documentation says both a CNAME and TXT record validation are required. However when attempting to add these, we see that both can NOT exist on the same subdomain.

    @Candice San Juan

    Hi Candice,

    The TXT record should be added as a root domain record ("@" record), while the CNAME should be an alias of go.pardot.com. See the working attached screenshot.Hi Candice, The TXT record should be added as a root domain record (

Hello Team,

We are experiencing an issue in our Pardot environment where bot clicks are automatically clicking links in our email templates. This is impacting our click-through rates, engagement metrics, and Engagement Studio reporting.

As a result, we are unable to accurately measure genuine recipient engagement.

Could you please investigate this issue and advise on any available solutions or settings to help identify and filter bot-generated clicks?

We would appreciate your assistance as soon as possible.

Thank you.

    Hello Jithendra, you’re right to keep bringing this up, as we’re seeing the same issue on our instance, which is completely altering the KPIs. It’s a good idea of François’s to open a support ticket; I’d be interested to hear how it turns out if you could let us know.

Could someone assist on finding what this button is used for "Send to Account Engagement (Managed)", it's on the contact details page.

    @Vishnu Vardhan Nandyala

    Hi Vishnu,

    The button is the Account Engagement equivalent of the legacy “Send to Pardot” action. It’s used to manually push/sync a Lead or Contact into Account Engagement (Prospect creation/association depending on connector settings) rather than waiting for the normal connector sync. Salesforce’s  implementation guide still describe this functionality under the older “Send to Pardot” name.

    Hope this helps 😎

I am trying to extract HTML content from multiple Pardot (Marketing Cloud Account Engagement) email templates in bulk.

I reviewed the Pardot Email Template API documentation, but it appears there are limitations when retrieving HTML-related fields through the GET endpoints. My goal is to avoid manually opening each template and copying the HTML content one by one.

Could you please clarify:

  1. Is there a supported way to retrieve the HTML content for multiple email templates in a single process (bulk extraction)?
  2. Which API endpoint or approach is recommended for extracting HTML content from multiple templates at once?
  3. Are there any alternative APIs, exports, Salesforce objects, or reporting methods that provide access to the full HTML content?
  4. If the Email Template API has limitations on HTML fields, what is the best practice for exporting this data into Excel or CSV format for reporting and analysis?
  5. Has anyone implemented an automated solution to extract HTML from all Pardot email templates without making individual requests for each template?

I am looking for the most efficient and scalable approach to export HTML content from a large number of Pardot email templates rather than manually copying each template's HTML.    @* MC Account Engagement (fka Pardot) *

    The MCAE v5 API is best for "classic" email templates.  For lightning email templates, you'll want to use regular old Salesforce Query API and specify the fields you want. Best way to see what you want is to navigate to an email template, look at the URL for the object name and the Id. Use that with some queries to see if you can get what you need.

We use MCAE and want to be able to report on Contacts who have received, opened, or clicked our emails, and details from their Contact record. For example, a report on our Monthly Newsletter email, and how many people clicked it, and of those people, who are volunteers (based on Total Volunteer Hours field), who are donors (based on Total Gifts field), etc. Is there a way to do that within Salesforce or MCAE?

    @Kim White-Sawczynec

    I think that would work! I dismissed SF reporting as you wanted email stats, but using the campaign member status gets around that. I don't use Salesforce reports a whole lot but I believe this approach will get you what you're looking for.

    I just created a test report using an email campaign I sent last month, and it has produced a list of all campaign members whose status is 'clicked'. Should be easy enough for you to add the volunteer and donor fields to the filters.
