Hi Everyone,

I wanted to check if anyone has come across bot clicks or spam filter clicks in Account Engagement (Pardot).

In our org, we are noticing clicks happening immediately after sending emails, and it appears these might be generated by bots or spam/security filters rather than actual prospects.

The issue is that these clicks are impacting prospect scores and also triggering automations unexpectedly.

Has anyone faced a similar issue? If yes, could you please share how you handled or minimized this behavior?

Any suggestions or best practices would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

Pardot custom fields have a character limit of 65,535. But when trying to change the value in an Engagement Studio program, the UI only allows for 255 characters. Has anyone found a workaround/explanation for this?

    Hi @Lin Rocha

Unfortunately, there isn't a workaround to bypass this restriction directly in the UI. If you need to handle larger text values, you might consider alternative approaches, such as storing the data in a different field or using external integrations to manage the data. Directly bypassing this restriction through the user interface is not currently possible.

Additionally, Evaluate if these values truly need to be configured within Engagement Studio, as the tool is designed for basic field updates rather than processing substantial text payloads.

when i try to run by query builder or automation studio, i got empty return with below query:  SELECT

There are two things that concern me.

First, try changing the SendType value from Email to ExactTargetSend and see if the query returns any results.

Second, if your emails were sent through Journey Builder, the TriggererSendDefinitionObjectID field will typically contain a value. Therefore, please verify whether the IS NULL condition is actually correct for your scenario. If that condition is not required, try removing it and running the query again.

We are currently using MCAE (Pardot) and Salesforce CRM for email communications. Our concern is how to leverage Salesforce Analytics Studio reports to display click‑through details.

Is there a way to pull click‑through data from emails sent via MCAE (Pardot) into Analytics Studio reports?   If this is not directly available, what methods can be used to send click data for display in Salesforce reports?

Alternatively, is there an option to download click details through the SMTP server method?

Hi @Selvasubha R, I made a CRM Analytics dashboard which reports on email metrics such as opens and clicks. This was created using a Pardot dataset. Would that be of use to you? I don't have an option to create reports in CRM Analytics so don't know how the creation would differ.

Why can i not seem to find a way to create a custom report type to show me attachments / files related to opportuntiies?

I am simply trying to pull a report to show all closed won opps in our org for 2026 and see what opportunities do not have contracts uploaded to them in the notes & attachments section.

Please help!

Hi, I'm confusing about setting Rules of Dynamic List.

Would you help me with answering this question?

When I set Rule starts from "Prospect custom field" and set date-type field after that (let me say "Seminor Registration date"), there are several choices.

I'd like to make it clear who will contains in each selection.

If today is 2016-07-01, and there are three prospects in my Pardot,

A. Seminor Resistration date is 2016-06-29

B. Seminor Resistration date is 2016-06-30

C. Seminor Registration date is 2016-07-01

D. Seminor Registration date is 2016-07-02

E. Seminor Registration date is 2016-07-03

If I create 6 Dynamic Lists which have 6 different rules about Seminor Registration date, who will match in each Dynamic List on 2016-07-01?

List 1. is after 2016-07-01

List 2. is before 2016-07-01

List 3. days ago greater than or equal to 1

List 4. days ago less than or equal to 1

List 5. days in future greater than or equal to 1

List 6. days in future less than or equal to 1

List 7. is between 2016-06-30 and 2016-07-02

Thanks!

    Of course @Laura Piruzza

! I love when people are able to find old posts that are relevant to what they are currently dealing with.

I actually haven't come across the behavior you're describing - with MC Account Engagement, evaluating date criteria typically follows the account's time zone settings, not UTC. This should be the case for evaluating the criteria itself, as well as how repeat rule settings work.

When the prospects are updated late in the day, is the date field still showing that day in MCAE, or is it showing the next day?

My concern with your recommended criteria is that it could be too restrictive. Do you have enough leniency in the purpose of the rule to instead do days ago less than or equal to 1 and days in future less than or equal to 1? That would provide you buffer based on the behavior you're explaining.

We regularly use engagement studios to send automated emails for our events. In a step 2 of a recent engagement studio, it seems to have only sent emails to a portion of the total list. There's no suppression list and emails are being sent at all hours, not just in business hours. The second email was supposed to go out 18 May so I know there's no one waiting to receive it. Has anyone encountered this issue before? I saw one possible answer could be that we have an operational email limit, but I didn't see any limit in our Account Engagement settings.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I've been trying to use CMS content with Landing Pages in Marketing Cloud, but I can't seem to quite put it together.  I can/can't:

  • Get CMS content to show up on an Email template if i use the new template builder
  • Get a landing page created in MCAE and access it's link, but I can't get images to show up there
  • Get CMS content to show up on a "landing page" if I go into hte CMS workspace and make a landing page from there/ but I can't figure out how to get the link

I found this article, but I couldn't follow the steps enough to get it to work.

https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=001731527&type=1

Has anyone successfully put images from their CMS on a Marketing Cloud OR CMS Landing page and then generated a working vanity url for it?  That they could then use in Marketing Cloud?  Is this... just not a thing?
