I started seeing this error msg on a flow that updates Campaigns which has lookups to Agency (Accounts) & Agent (Contacts). It wasn't occurring previously and it seems odd bc it started around the time I updated the Process Automation Settings page to reference a general Sys Admin license instead of mine. The Agency & Agent fields has had blank values in the past & present but it seems as though now it's an issue. Here's the logic on the Agency field (Filter Criteria | Agency: Account Record Type equals Agency). What else could be causing this. (It still doesn't happen in prod where yes, Agency & Agent are sometimes blank.)

    Hi Jay,

There can be records in system which had value and is against the filter criteria. If filter criteria is defined recently and data is not fixed this is a problem

In a scheduled flow, I need to add the Record Type Name in the filter conditions but the only thing I see is Record Type ID. How do I get around not hard coding the value?

This change is not needed at this time. If things change I'll continue the discussion.

I've noticed in the last few weeks that if I go into the permission set editor (or profile editor) and use the Find Settings search box to try to go to an object, it does not come up. Doesn't work for Contact: Find Settings in profiles and permsets broken?

Doesn't work for Account either:

Screenshot 2026-06-19 at 12.08.58 PM.png

Doesn't work with the whole word, part of the word, etc. And it doesn't seem to work for any object.

I can get there with more clicks if I go to Object Settings>[object]. But that's annoying.

That quick find had definitely worked for the whole time I've been in the ecosystem.

Is this browser? (I use Safari.) Or client? (I'm fairly sure I've seen this in several client orgs, but haven't done a comprehensive survey.) Or release? (Screenshots are from prod for an org on Summer '26)

Likely a browser + Summer '26 UI regression, not your org config.

    A few things worth checking:

    1. Isolate browser first

Try the same org in Chrome or Firefox. If Find Settings works there, it's definitively Safari/WebKit-specific — not your org or release config. Safari has historically had issues with Salesforce LWC-based Setup UI components.

    2. Check the Known Issues site

Search permission set find settings at issues.salesforce.com — if others have hit it post-Summer '26, it will likely be logged there. Worth upvoting or adding yourself as "Affected" to push priority.

    3. Workaround in the meantime

Object Settings > [Object] is the reliable path. Also works: Setup Quick Find → type the object name directly — takes you to the Object Manager page where you can navigate to Object Access and see all profiles/permission sets in one view, which is arguably better than the Find Settings box anyway.

    4. Raise a case with Salesforce Support

Given you've seen it across multiple client orgs on Summer '26, that cross-org pattern is exactly what Support needs to escalate it as a platform regression rather than an org-specific issue.

My read: Summer '26 likely shipped a UI change to the enhanced Profile/Permission Set editor that broke the search component in WebKit. Chrome-based browsers tend to catch these regressions later or not at all.

I unfortunately can't join this week but wanted to follow up that Salesforce Support helped me figure out that the app that is still using the SOAP API login() is Own Data (aka our backup platform) ::facepalm::

I can't just revoke that app - so now I'm not sure how to proceed?

I'm struggling with allowing a persona (profile & perm set) to see the "Add Account Team" & "Add Opportunity Team Members" buttons on the Opty layout. I understand there are a few reasons what may be preventing this and here's what I can rule out.

- Role sits above & adjacent to owner almost like an uncle if you think of it in the terms of a family.

- The buttons have been added to the layout. Other persona's can see the buttons. Yes team selling has been enabled.

- A sharing rule has been created to provide the role with Read/Write access to Accounts & Optys to the applicable Record Types

    @Squire Kershner @Mustafa Ahmed

I can confirm the persona is above the owner of the Opty and can edit the Opty & related Account. For clarification, the persona can see the Opty Team Related List, just not see the "Add Team Members" buttons on either Account or Opty.

I don't think the step of "Give a Team Member Access to the Account/Opty" in the articles pertains to my issue but let me know if I'm wrong.

First - great call today - even though I almost missed it :)

Next - I have a problem (of course :)) which I have just hit the wall on (otherwise I would have posted it before the call).

I have a flow approval process. I want to update two emails - one that goes to the reviewer (I found that one in an approval process flow). I updated that one. Now I'm trying to find the email that goes to the submitter. I'm not finding it anywhere. I have checked email templates, flows and some other places in SF and still not coming up with anything. There is a help article which says that these emails can be configured - just can't find it - any suggestions or thoughts? Thanks!!! Have a great long weekend all!

    Hi,

This depends on whether you’re using a classic Approval Process or submitting for approval from Flow.

If it’s a classic approval, the submitter email lives inside the approval process itself. Open the approval process in Setup and check the Initial Submission Actions and the Final Approval/Rejection Actions. If there’s an Email Alert there, that’s what’s going to the submitter. If there isn’t one, Salesforce is just sending the standard system email, and that one isn’t editable.

If this is Flow-based approval, there’s no hidden submitter email to edit. The built-in notification is generic, so if you want a custom message you need to send your own email from the Flow right after submission. That’s usually where the confusion comes from.

    Hope this helps!

I’m struggling to unlock the core differentiator of the "Headless 360" concept relative to Salesforce’s historical architecture.

"Growing up Salesforce" (and having worked at the Motherforce once upon a time), it was always drummed into us that Salesforce is an API-first enterprise platform. Because of this Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), everything—metadata, multi-tenancy, and data models—has historically been accessible programmatically.

For example, when I was a Product Owner at Cisco, our engineer end-users bypassed our massive Service Cloud UI entirely. Using Salesforce APIs, they built their own citizen-developer tooling ("Quicker") to crawl logs, fetch data, and update configurations via the standard API layer.

So my question to the architects here:

What is actually different with Headless 360?

Is this just a modern rebranding of the classic decoupled, API-first SOA we’ve been using for over a decade? Or is there a fundamental structural shift in how the core platform, Data Cloud, and Agentforce are exposed that changes how we must design enterprise integrations?

Maybe I need to get some hands on to understand it more rather than just briefs here and there— would love yalls take!  Thank you!

Yes, from the first announcement until now, my thought has been 2-fold.

    1. Salesforce has already been a headless platform. But I didn't jump on the bandwagon to shut down the marketing talking point. Because if you didn't know that Salesforce has been headless this whole time.. you should know. And be impressed. It's not just software that runs on someone else's computer like a lot of SaaS.
    2. The new things is really neat, which is the Salesforce-hosted MCP servers, allowing AI tools to interact with the existing APIs. Well... allowing 2 or 3 specific AI tools, none of which do most organizations have data protection with and this is outside of the Agentforce Trust Layer, so... maybe you shouldn't use it, but it's really neat. Very slick how it works with Claude for example.
