⭐️ Tableau Community Forums Moving to Trailblazer Community ⭐️

UPDATE: the site will be in read-only mode from October 24th. To post fresh questions, please visit the Trailblazer Community.

What is happening?

We are excited to share that the Tableau Community Forums are moving to a new home - a “Tableau Neighborhood” within the Trailblazer Community - on November 15, 2025!

This isn't just a move; it's a major upgrade! You'll get an improved experience that makes it easier to discover Tableau content, get answers, and share your expertise. You’ll also get a convenient mobile app, a unified login experience, and a connection to the global Trailblazer Community.

➡️ See the Walkthrough Guide for short demo videos

When is it happening?

The new “Tableau Neighborhood” within the Trailblazer Community will be available on November 15, 2025. To prepare for this move, the current Tableau Community Forums will be in read-only mode starting October 24. This means content will still be available, but users won’t be able to post new questions nor answers.

How can I prepare for the move?

Create your free Trailblazer Account by November 7! Your account, contributions, likes, and upvotes will move with you, but only if you take this important step. If you don’t create a Trailblazer Account, your content will still be migrated, but under an anonymous user and some of your historic data will not transfer. Here’s how:

  1. Sign up now using the same email address as your Tableau Forums account.
  2. If you already have a Trailblazer account with the same email as your Tableau Forums account, you are all set!

What can I expect to see in this new space?

There will be a Tableau branded neighborhood (see Slack and Mulesoft as examples) with familiar spaces for Topics and Groups. Users will immediately see a Tableau-specific feed with the latest conversations and questions, as well as a Leaderboard of Community Experts who have earned the most points over the past three months.

How do I navigate the new space?

Select ‘Connect’ from the top navigation bar to access Activity Feeds, Groups and Topics.

What’s going to happen to my content and user profile on the Tableau Forums?

Historic content will migrate to the new experience, however to ensure your contributions transfer with your identity, please create your free Trailblazer account by November 7, 2025

  1. Sign up now by clicking the blue “Sign Up for Free” button.
  2. Be sure to use the same email address as your current Tableau Forums account.

That’s it! If you already have a Trailblazer account with that email, you’re all set!

Note: If you don't create an account, your content will still migrate, but it will no longer be associated with you.

Can you tell me how URL redirects will work with this migration?

All existing links to questions and answers will now redirect to the Trailblazer Community. After the go-live migration, we encourage you to update your existing links or bookmarks to the new location for the best experience.

Will my Bookmarks migrate?

Content from the Tableau Forums website will be redirected to the new Trailblazer space via URL redirects. It is recommended to keep a copy of your Bookmarks so that you can recreate them as Favorites in Trailblazer. To add content as a Favorite, select the star icon to the right.

How do I ask a Question?

It’s easy! Questions are organised under matching Topic boards. Here is a step by step example:

  • Log in to your Trailblazer account
  • Navigate to whichever Tableau topic best matches your query (eg: Tableau Desktop & Web Authoring)
  • At the top of the Topic board you’ll see the ‘Ask a Question’ box.
  • Click into it and type the title and details of your Question.

Note: the character limit is 255 for question titles and 9000 for question details.

  • To add attachments (such as a Tableau Packaged Workbook), click the paperclip icon
  • When your question is complete, click the ‘Ask the Community’ button at the bottom to post it

Note: There is no icon for adding emojis in the Question box. As a workaround, use an emoji keyboard shortcut on Windows or Mac.

How can I access IdeaExchange from Trailblazer?

Tableau Ideas that were previously hosted on the Tableau Community Forums site were migrated to IdeaExchange earlier this year. IdeaExchange provides users with the opportunity to shape the Tableau product roadmap by submitting their own ideas or voting on those from fellow community members.

Select ‘More’ from the top navigation bar to access IdeaExchange (ideas.salesforce.com)

Will the new Tableau neighborhood have Leaderboards?

Yes! Leaderboards are a great way to get recognized for giving back to the community and are based on the last 30 days of activity.

In addition to a Community Experts leaderboard on the main landing page of the Neighborhood, there will be leaderboards in each of the Tableau topic boards.

Are points awarded?

Yes! Earn 1 point every time your answer is “marked as helpful” by other Community members and 5 points when an answer you provided is “accepted” by the question author.

Where can I ask questions, provide feedback or share feature requests about the new Community experience?

To ask questions or provide feedback, you have a choice of two channels

If you have a specific feature request for the Community platform, use IdeaExchange
