We are currently trying to connect a TabPy server to Tableau Prep. This also works successfully with Tableau desktop with our hostname and Port. We use the SSL variant.

 

Only in Tableau Prep should we store a certificate file. Where do we get these from?

 

Connect Tableau Prep with TabPy - certificate file necessary 

Does anyone have an idea where we can get these from?

    Hi, when you setup tabpy to use ssl, you must define a certificate:

    @Jonas Bexten​ Hi, when you setup tabpy to use ssl, you must define a certificate:So you need to get the certificate file (.cer, .pem, crt) used by Tabpy.So you need to get the certificate file (.cer, .pem, crt) used by Tabpy. Copy to your machine the certificate file and add it in the configuration window for external extensions in the image you attached.
