Number of rows reduced after adding a clean step

Hi,

 

I am new and self-learning in using Tableau Prep Builder, so I don't know where to ask for the problems I encountered.

 

I have a relatively big data that I want to analyze. One of the fields have 11M unique values (let's call it NIK field), but not all of these values are valid. I intend to use calculated field to clean them. However, every time I click the button for create calculated field using NIK field, the number of rows for NIK field suddenly reduced to 1M unique values.

 

Is it normal? If it is not, then how do I fix it? Thank you for all the help.

    Hi @Sweetta Wulandari​, I believe Tableau prep just showed a sample of the data, it cant reduce your data volume.

    One way to track this is to count the field by using Aggregate step.
