I have a workbook published out on Tableau Public. The data source for the workbook was an extract of a .csv file. There had been a button there to request refresh and schedule a refresh so that the data stayed updated. That button has disappeared and my data is no longer refreshing. I tried changing the data source to be an extract of a Google Sheet, but that didn't work either. Our University webpage has a link to this workbook, so it really needs to stay up to date. Is there a way to do that on Tableau Public? Is there any way to get that "request refresh" button back?

    Hello Diane,

When you save the workbook (using datasource from Google Sheet) to Tableau Public, have you checked "Keep my data in sync with the data source and embed my credentials"?

"Request Data Refresh" button won't appear if this option is not checked.
