Filtering in Dashboard

Hi All,

 

I need your help in one of my Tableau dashboard

 

I have a dashboard with a couple of single values drop down filters. These filters have a default selection (All) selected.

 

I have one of the worksheets in this dashboard which shows a small commentary text for the selection made in above 2 drop down filters.

This Commentary sheet is working fine when there are selections made in above drop down filters.

But when there is default/no selection (All) is made then this Commentary worksheet is going to show all the commentary of every selections of the drop down.

 

Now, I was not able to set some commentary for the default selections (All)

 

Can any one help?

    Hi,

     

    We are currently working on 9.3 version, But solution for later versions are also welcome

     

    I was not able to upload workbook, here are the pictures.

    1st pic is the data. 2nd one is the dashboard view, 3rd one is the filtered view.

     

    Now , when (All) is selected in both the drop downs, i want set some default commentary. Similarly when i just filtered on State( lets say Texas) but no selection is made for City (All) i want to set some default commentary for each state

     

    Let me know if i am not clear.
