Import MongoDB Data in Tableau

Hallo Everyone,

I am working on small project where I need to import data from MongoDB into Tableau. I am not so keen to write custom query to import specific part of data (As I understand syntax would be different than normal SQL statements). However, if I import all the data from MongoDB database to tableau, it would have performance issue to the actual application using MongoDB.

Is Data Source filter in the tableau can be an alternative? Does the data source filter applied when data is being imported from MongoDB to Tableau?

Or whole data is imported to Tableau and filtered values are passed to sheet for usage?

Any alternate solution/suggestion?
