I have created a map visualization about popularity of certain European parties. The map shows the summed up popularity (total percentage of following of various parties) country by country. To achieve this I have chosen popularity data from my Excel, that I use in a Label -function (Attributes).

This doesn’t quite cut it, though. When I take a cursor on top of a country, it only shows me a star. The names of specific multiple parties have disappeared. If there is only one party, the name is visible. How can I show all the vital info

A) The summed up popularity (Label)

B) The names of individual parties (Multiple variables).

Best,

Mikael

Depending on what version of Tableau you're using this sounds like a situation where 'Viz in Tooltip' would work well. Create a table from your secondary data source, which contains the names of the individual parties, and display this in the tooltip. I think you need to be using Tableau 2018 or above for this functionality.
