Hi Tableau friends - wondering if it is possible to create a dashboard "action" that opens a file, rather than a web page? I am embedding a dashboard in another software and I am just researching the syntax I would need to open a .pdf, etc. from the embedded dashboard to our internal shared files.

Yes, you can use a URL action. In example below I am opening a local file, but you can also give a URL if it is online/sharepoint etc.
